Tom Clancy's The Division is full of things to do. These range from small encounters with enemies while or allies to large boss fights with faction leaders. These activities tend to reward the player with in-game currency and loot that scales to the level of the activity. 

Tom Clancy's The Division[]

In Tom Clancy's The Division, activities are divided into 3 main categories. You have Main Missions, Side Missions, and Encounters.


Main Missions[]

Main article: Missions in Tom Clancy's The Division

Main Missions are large scale missions that have story content, bosses, and a decent amount of loot in them. These missions tend to be harder than side missions and encounters, and thus take longer to complete. These missions also provide a large number of supplies to whichever Wing it is associated with.


Side Missions[]

Main article: Side Missions in Tom Clancy's The Division

Side Missions provide an experience similar to Main Missions, but on a much smaller scale. These missions will have the player do various things, including rescuing NPCs, protecting objectives, and taking down marked targets. These will provide players will a smaller reward than a Main Mission and no supplies towards Wings.


Encounters[]

Main article: Encounters

Encounters are the smallest mission type in Tom Clancy's The Division. They are mostly simple missions and provide supplies for their respective wings, along with a small amount of XP.


Incursions[]

Main article: Incursions

Incursions are long missions. They all contain a plethora of named enemies and unique mechanics to overcome. These are endgame activities for only the strong to overcome.


Underground[]

Main article: Underground

The underground is a randomized dungeonesque environment with varying objectives to complete. On top of this, the agent can select multiple modifiers to make the outing more rewarding and interesting.


Survival[]

Main article: Survival

Survival throws out the rulebook that we've all learned so far. The agent is sent to recover a sample of a cure, but things go wrong and now the agent must face New York City at its deadliest, during a blizzard. With only a standard pistol and an utter lack of supplies, Survival mode lives up to its name.


Last Stand[]

Main article: Last Stand (mode)

In Last Stand, two teams of four fight over three control points in a smaller map. Each control point will contribute a number of points every few seconds, and the first team to a certain score wins the match. There are also varying upgrades that the player and team can use to augment and improve their team's ability.


Resistance[]

Main article: Resistance

In Resistance, the factions have teamed up and are out to kill the agent. The agent must face endless waves of enemies. Every few rounds, with increasing frequency, critical objectives will spring up and add even more challenge.


Skirmish[]

Main article: Skirmish

Skirmish is an organized PvP mode that pits two teams of four against each other in a deathmatch scenario.
