Backup Boomstick is a High-End Shotgun in Tom Clancy's The Division 2.
It is a Named variant of the Double Barrel Sawed Off, featuringadditional Shotgun Damage.
This weapon can only be extracted from Dark Zones, purchased from Dark Zone Vendors using 
DZ Resources, purchased from the Countdown Requisitions Station using 
Countdown Requisition Tokens, or obtained from Conflict/Legacy/Named Item Caches. It has an increased drop chance from the Main Mission Federal Emergency Bunker.
Replicas of this weapon can be crafted using its 
Blueprint, which can only be obtained from Reconstructed Caches purchased with 
NSA Tech from NSA Stations.
Usage[]
Although a +2% damage bonus technically makes the Backup Boomstick superior to a typical Double Barrel Sawed Off, in practice, it is virtually identical in terms of utility: useful against close-range un-armored targets, but wildly inefficient if the first two shells fail to kill.
Damage was never one of the Double Barrel Sawed Off's shortcomings, and this weapon's paltry bonus does nothing to alleviate its progenitor's abysmal range and lengthy reload.
