For the novel trilogy written by Thomas Parott, see Operation Crossroads Crossroads is the first season of Year 7 for Tom Clancy's The Division 2. It was released alongside Battle for Brooklyn. It ran from May 27, 2025 to September 8, 2025
The story centered around Division agents in D.C conducting their investigation across the city to find and recover their deep-cover asset embedded within Black Tusk/Sokolov Concern. Meanwhile, after being woken from a coma, Bardon Schaeffer shared what he knew of Black Tusk and Natalya Sokolova's plans.
Overview[]
Crossroads gives Agents the opportunity to dive deeper into ongoing operations involving the Sokolov Concern, as The Division finds themselves in a race against time and the Black Tusk.
With Bardon Schaefer now out of his coma, the team receives intel about a deep-cover asset who’s been off-grid since the events of Coney Island. Extraction plans are underway-but time is running out, and staying under the radar is critical.
Grab a mug of Kerman’s finest and let’s break down everything new in Crossroads.
Manhunt Storyline[]
Spoiler warning: Reader's discretion is advised.
With Bardon Schaeffer recovered from his coma, the Division find themselves in a race against time and the Black Tusk where they learn of a deep-cover asset embedded within the Sokolov Concern. This asset, the logistics manager, was meant to be extracted after the events of Coney Island, so agents must race against time to find clues and extract the asset before it's too late.
And as they complete their objectives across Washington D.C to secure and strengthen their territory, Agents would intercept comms detailing Manny Ortega's debriefings with Bardon Schaeffer, where they'd uncover more answers about Black Tusk, its Diamond network, Natalya Sokolova and her interpersonal relationships.
The Code Name[]
The first trail had Agents secure objectives around the White House. Once that's done, they intercept a comm set at the start of Manny's debriefings with Schaeffer, where the latter is still committed to the mission despite the 2 months setback. During the conversation, Manny apologizes to the former BTSU commander over his coma, as he was in the dark about Summers's allegiance as well as to what happeend to Faye Lau.
The Bunker[]
The second trail had Agents secure areas west of the White House, those being: Downtown West, Constitution Hall, Foggy Bottom, and West End. Once that's done, they intercept the 2nd comm that continues Schaeffer's debriefing. In this comm, Schaeffer reveals that Black Tusk's secret bunkers are almost everywhere across the US. Almost being the keyword, as it takes less than a day's walk, half a day's drive, and one or two hours on helo, depending on the weather conditions, to reach the bunkers.
Manny questions how to compete against BT's bunkers, where Schaeffer says it's not possible, hence why he and his Rogue allies were trying to shut them down. Manny deduced they were after Black Tusk's network, DIAMOND, which Schaeffer admits and emphasizes by taking down the Diamond Network, they can take out Black Tusk's bunkers and all of Nat's tech.
The Plan[]
The third trail had Agents secure Downtown West from hostiles. When that was done, they intercepted the third comm. In it, Schaeffer explains that in order to take down the Network down for good, they need Claire, the "football", and Presidential clearance. Manny says he doesn't have the clerance, though Schaeffer argues otherwise, which made the former confused as how it's possible to have the clearance without being the POTUS, leading the former BTSU commander frustantingly asking him if he even asked Kelso about the Cassandra mission before he let her go, which Manny thought was about waking him up.
Schaeffer explains that he's the key to the Black Tusk bunker, not the Ortiz Robotics Network. And if Faye Lau had finished her mission and Ellis died, then that meant she got the clearance from him. Manny then realized that Faye's watch has the clearance. He'd also explain that Faye's watch is with Kelso, and she's keeping a low profile as she preferred to stay dark and not put a target on her close ones.
When asked by Schaeffer if they talked about this in a comms-free space, Manny confirmed as Kelso insisted no comms, wi-fi killers, and EMPs to keep recordings out just in case. Schaeffer admits that's smart from Kelso, musing that despite being her CIA clearance being revoked, they couldn't revoke her training.
The Recruiter[]
The fourth trail involved Agents securing West End and eliminating hostile activity over there. Afterwards, they intercepted a fourth comm. In the comm, Manny and Schaeffer discuss about Brian Johnson (aka The Recruiter), and apparently Schaeffer was trying to warn The Division about him but couldn't due to his coma. Manny admits a screw-up on his part, as he let himself get manipulated by Brian. Schaeffer assures him it's not his fault, as Brian Johnson was a good and honest man who was trying to do the right thing, but was manipulated and got the wrong end of the stick. Like everyone else, Brian wanted to rebuild a safer society to raise a family in.
Manny then comments if everyone agreed what rebuilding society should look like, they wouldn't be in this mess. Schaeffer counters that, mentioning that people have been arguing whether they should drink cow milk, or how they should raise children. And no civilization thus far has managed to solve the problem of humans disagreeing on so many things.
Manny understands that point, as he tries to deal with the reality of becoming a Dad in a war-torn America. Schaeffer congratulates him, and asks how he's handling it. Manny admits he's nervous, but he's well committed to his upcoming role, commenting that it's one job that he wouldn't quit.
The Traitor[]
Just like with the first trail, Division agents focused on eliminating True Sons and their activities around their territories. When that was accomplished, they intercepted the fifth comm. In it, Manny and Schaeffer discuss about President Andrew Ellis, in which Manny confirms that they got that ECHO from White Oak during the events in Roosevelt Island, even revealing that Ellis willingly gave Faye his clearance and ordered her to kill him, so he wouldn't be forced to take it back.
This surprised Schaeffer a bit, as he admittelly never liked "Chickenhawk", but still respects the fact that he took responsibility, grew a spine, and took action. Manny asked if they're talking the same Ellis, and Schaeffer confirms it as being typical Andrew Ellis, Speaker of The House who wanted power so he took a deal from the devil.
Manny insists that Natalya Sokolova is not the devil, which had Schaeffer ask him what's the greatest trick the devil has ever played. Manny guessed it was Capitalism, but Schaeffer shares a bit of the lore over Lucifer, God's fallen son. In that allegory, Natalya didn't wait for her father to replace her, so she took over his kingdom before he could banish her.
Manny realized this was referring to Nat's dead half-brother, Felix Sokolov. When Schaeffer asks about Felix's status, Manny confirms that Division agents were tricked to killing both Felix and Bridgette Douglas before they got to Faye.
With that in mind, Schaeffer asks Manny if he still thinks Nat is not the devil. Manny believes that she is not the devil, but a traitor, and argues that traitors can be held accountable or killed.
The Cyclops[]
In this sixth trail, Agents focused on eliminating Black Tusk personnel, which included their unmanned ordanance and high-ranking officers. Once that was accomplished, they recovered the sixth comm. In it, Manny and Schaeffer discuss code names, with Schaeffer insisting not to call Faye Lau as "The Cyclops".
Manny's attempt to differentiate between Faye Lau Cassandra and Kelso Cassandra only frustrated him, saying that he hates these code names, with Schaeffer admitting they're the worst. When asked why he's putting up with them, Schaeffer answers that as much as he hates those code names, Keener was right about their necessity, especially to prevent Natalya from figuring it out.
Doing the clandestine stuff, and taking down the powers that be further emphasizes the use of these code names. But in Schaeffer's opinion, the code names that Keener and his team came up with just suck.
Manny then makes a joke about how "Glasses" is too on the nose, which amused Schaeffer, though he reminds him he's not a Dad yet so he needs to dial back the dad jokes by 15%.
The Heiress[]
For the seventh trail. Agents focused on fortifying areas east of the White House, which included; Downtown East, Judiciary Square, Federal Triangle, or East Mall. When that was accomplished, they recovered the seventh comm. In it, Manny and Schaeffer discuss the Heiress, specifically, Mackenzie Meret. As the topic of Bridgette Douglas stings too much for Schaeffer at the moment.
Schaeffer explains that Mack's relationship with Natalya Sokolova is unrequited, as she could never be the woman Nat wants her to be, and she's too selfish. Manny argues that Mack's a rich philanthropist, though Schaeffer counters that's like a dozen other billionaires who use philanthropy to hide their vile deeds like destroying the planet and using child slave labor.
This led to Manny questioning if Mack's stuff were made through sweatshops, but Schaeffer assured him that her stuff are ethically sourced and well paid, even going to say she's a true philanthropist and cares about the betterment of groups. It's just individuals that Mackenzie hates.
Schaeffer further explains that mindset, saying that if Mack saves the world, she's a good person. But saving even one person, no matter how valuable or important that person is, over serving the needs of the community and making big systemic decisions? It's a waste of her time. Mackenzie is not someone who can be easily controlled and she does what she wants, regardless of the consequences.
This is in stark contrast to Natalya, who's personality was built on being in control, and sees Mack's mindset as a challenge to win, instead of what it truly is; a toxic relationship nonsense that no one should ever tolerate. And yet, even in their 40s, they still play those games.
Manny then mentions his age being 29, which amuses Schaeffer, as he figured he's 50, then later muses the power of the presidency really does age a man. Despite Manny's insistence that he's not the president, Schaeffer tells him that he's being interrogated at the Oval Office. So if he's not the president, then who is.
The Wingman[]
For the eighth trail, the agents focused their efforts on disrupting True Sons operations in the East Mall to draw out their first High-Value Target: Lieutenant Hanford. With Hanford off the board, they recovered the eighth comm. In it, Manny Ortega and Bardon Schaeffer discuss Bridgette Douglas, with Schaeffer describing her as the best, while Manny thought of her as the center for the whole Black Tusk war. Schaeffer disagreed, as he described her more like a wingman not just for Keener, but also Nat, and her dad.
Schaeffer goes on about how a lot of people saw her as the pretty thing that no one expects anything from, so she used that to her advantage. Bridgette could never be who she wanted to be, so she was what everyone wanted her to be. Manny thought that made her the perfect spy, though Schaeffer disagrees and preferably calls her the perfect corporate socialite doll, feeling that moniker fits Bridgette better than Nat.
Schaeffer then talks how Bridgette towed the line and sacrificed herself for the good of the collective, while Nat would never sacrifice a moment of unpleasantness unless she has something personal to gain from. Manny then asks him if he misses her.
Schaeffer admits to that, as Bridgette was his best friend. And the relationship she had with Faye Lau, it was the kind of relationship that made him believe in love. They had something worth fighting for, and it was killed. Every decision that both the D.C Division and Keener's team made, big or small, led to their deaths.
Manny felt guilt, admitting he and the Division didn't know at the time, and apologized. However, this only frustrated Schaeffer, and told him to stop apologizing.
The Diamond[]
The ninth trail had Agents again on East Mall, as they focused on securing the zone from the True Sons to help protect The Castle's perimeter over there. After they secured East Mall, they recovered the ninth comm. In it, Manny Ortega and Bardon Schaeffer discuss Diamond, with the latter mentioning it as Natalya's favorite shape while the former noting the diamond being Black Tusk's logo. Schaeffer then explains what Diamond actually is; Nat's specialized and personal server, where it controls all the Black Tusk tech, intel, comms, and AI. The similarity between Diamond and the SHD Network was mentioned by Manny, with Schaeffer commenting they're built on the same system, then he mentions when he and his original squad took out the SHD Node in D.C, it disabled all Black Tusk's comms, drones, and hovercrafts.
With that in mind, Manny understands why the PMC didn't attack D.C until the Division restored their SHD Network. Schaeffer got a little impressed, and added some humor to the conversation, which confuses Manny, so he had to explain it was a joke and he needs to lighten up. For a much needed break, Manny asks Schaeffer if he wants coffee. Although, with the fact that the only coffee being made in the White House is roasted dandelion root coffee that's only decent with honey added to it, Schaeffer passed on the offer and asked for mint tea instead, which Manny happily obliged.
The Plant[]
In this tenth trail, the Agents focused their efforts on dismantling enemy supply chains and propaganda across Washington D.C, then eliminating high-ranking Black Tusk personnel. After that was accomplished, they recovered the tenth comm. In it, Manny Ortega and Bardon Schaeffer have a frustrating discussion regarding Natalya Sokolova's mole in the White House, Doctor Joshua Summers. Schaeffer revealed that Summers was an actor, though Manny mentions he wasn't a famous one.
Schaeffer then mentions how Summers firstly used a crash cart to restart someone's heart instead of CPR, and how that should've been suspicious to Manny. However, Manny comments that he never saw the doc using a crash cart and that most wounds that were treated over the last year
This frustrates Schaeffer further, asking Manny who put him in charge and how old is he. Manny answered that fate put him in a leadership position and that he's younger than he looks (relating to his age of 29, despite his physical appearance being older than that). Schaeffer got exasperated, but understood since he realized that the leadership that Manny is in was not what he signed up and it just happened.
Schaeffer then asks Manny if he had seen Summer's Way, which the latter didn't know about it. Frustrated again, Schaeffer explains that Summer's Way was a TV show that Joshua Summers acted in, though Manny insisted that he never heard of the show.
The Pain[]
For this eleventh trail, the Agents visited Downtown East again to stabilize things through disrupting enemy operations, eliminating enemy officers, and taking down the hostile's last stand in Grand Washington Hotel. After that was accomplished, they recovered the eleventh comm. In it, Manny Ortega and Bardon Schaeffer discuss with the latter's trouble over learning trying to walk again now that he's awake. Manny apologizes, admitting the medical staff should've kept him up with the PT during his coma, but they didn't have the resources. Schaeffer, in the meantime, is trying to make the best out of a bad situation, and was elated when he heard that Manny was planning to commandeer Aaron Keener's cherry whiskey and give him a piece, which he accepted as it was preferable than taking painkillers or eating ginger root to numb the pain.
The Manager[]
For this twelfth and final trail, the Agents focused on eliminating Black Tusk-controlled locations as well as eliminating Alec "Prospero" Thrope and his security detail. Once that was accomplished, they recovered the 12th comm. In it, Bardon Schaeffer reveals to Manny Ortega who is "The Manager", who happens to be the logistics manager for Sokolov Concern, maintaining its factories and doing supply deliveries on behalf of Natalya Sokolova. Furthermore, Schaeffer reveals that extracting The Manager out of Black Tusk's hands means they'll have trouble doing resupplies.
As Manny comments he was tracking Black Tusk's supply drops on the Potomac Event Center, Schaeffer assures him that the Manager will be there and will try to keep a low-profile to maintain his cover. However, Schaeffer realized that Manny was wearing his comms, so he urged him to send the agents to the Potomac Event Center and rescue the Manager before he gets killed.
Potomac Event Center[]
Division agents entered the Event Center, and was given a warning from BTSU operative, Keiko Nakama, though they ignored and pursued their mission. Across the way, they fiought against decoys of Nakama that are equipped with different Hunter traps; Shock, Riot Foam, and Explosive. Still, they work their way through them and the automated turrets, making their way to the shoreline. On the way, they took over a SAM site with help from ANNA to prevent a Black Tusk helo from extracting The Manager, and defended it while fighting against dozens of Black Tusk soldiers. The hacked SAM takes out the Black Tusk helo, causing it to crash not far from the agents' position.
But before they reached the side-entrance, they face off against an advanced Warhound codenamed HOUND alongside other Warhounds and Black Tusk personnel to stop the agents. HOUND was a challenge, as its built-in mortar launcher was deadly in addition to its grenade launcher. Regardless, it was destroyed, and the agents made their way to the side entrance. At the theater, they notice a bunch of crates belonging to Sokolov Concern. Despite the advantage they'd have in securing them, they decided to not take any chances and destroyed those crates.
The agents ran their way towards the Concert Hall, eliminating any Black Tusk hostiles that stood in their way. As they reached the Concert Hall, they had a challenging against Keiko Nakama, as she's proven herself to be quite resourceful as well as her fellow Black Tusk soldiers, Warhounds, and suicide drones to protect her. Not to mention, a Sokolov Concern crate deploying Hunter trap decoys.
Despite this heavy fight, the agents prevailed and eliminated Nakama. They make their way to The Manager, and was frightened at first. However, as soon as he realized that the agents were sent here to rescue him on Schaeffer's behalf, he was relieved and the JTF personnel were sent there, including Pilot Fernanda Torres, to extract him via a helo with his cat in tow.
---
During the attack, Division agents recovered two comms. One involved BTSU operative Keiko Nakama venting her frustrations about The Manager and his cat, Fluffy Kitty Kiss Kiss. The second involves the Manager making a will in the event that he dies, giving the possession of his cat to Nakama, hoping that she'd take good care of it, even though he aware of her dislike towards him and Fluffy.
With the Manager secured, the Black Tusk have been dealt a major blow in logistics. Furthermore, Manny mentions to the agents that the intel they retrieved earlier indicated that Sokolov Concern is providing equipment to more than just Black Tusk.
In addition to Sokolov Concern crates deploying custom-made SHD decoy skill equipped with Hunter traps that the agents, the implications are nothing good.
Descent Storyline[]
After Kelso was secured and the truth behind the Cassandra mission was uncovered, new intel had been sent to NASA databases in the Descent Simulation Facility. Agents go through multiple runs to uncover the intel, where it involves certain people a few months before the events in Battle for Brooklyn.
Bridge[]
Agent Melanie Hoskins discussed with Dr. Jessica Kandel about relocating her to Brooklyn, promising that Faye Lau and Bridgette Douglas would arrive after Lau finishes her business in D.C. When Kandel suggested telling Roy Benitez, Hoskins refused, arguing that Benitez would never understand as he'll never forgive Keener, not after the damage that Rogue Agent had done to the JTF.
This led Kandel to asking Hoskins how she forgave Keener, which Hoskins admitted it was through his friendship with Douglas and Sarah Moretti. Hoskins then talked about how people shouldn't be judged on how they behave on their best or worst day, and they should be see on who they are when they get bored.
Hoskins was not shy to admit that although Keener was an asshole, he's not evil. She sees him as a guy who lost himself in his trauma and took a destructive road back to the man he wanted to be. Kandel deduced that Hoskins meant Keener as the venture capitalist, but it's the opposite. She sees him as a hero and a friend.
Hoskins implores Kandel to go to Brooklyn, to see the work that Keener had built there is good, even maintaining that the man Keener was when he left cryptic messages to shittalk the Division back in January, is no longer that man. And concludes her point that people need be given a chance to grow.
Kandel asks if Keener really still has the printer, but Hoskins is not aware what that means, and suggested to ask Theo Parnell for help.
Amherst[]
Theo Parnell and Jessica Kandel were discussing about Amherst's printer that was hidden in The Bridge, with the former expressing that he has the device, but not Amherst's research. Kandel objects, saying with ISAC, he has the research, every keystroke and failed experiment that Amherst made. Despite Parnell's assurance that Green Poison is not a threat anymore, Kandel argued that what Amherst accomplished had proved that any nutjob with the tech and resources can do something similar. Parnell then asked about the BSAV (Broad-Spectrum Anti-Virals) work she was doing in Ann Arbor, Kandel confirmed that Natalya Sokolova had stole it and scrubbed her research.
And when the Rogue Agent revealed that Kelso and her fellow agents in Washington, D.C managed to get the anti-virals from Tidal Basin, Kandel questioned why these vaccines aren't everywhere in the country, in which Parnell answered they don't have enough as they need to manufacture more than they could be able to and the means to distribute them. In that case, Kandel expressed that they have the tech to manufacture more BSAVs with the printer, as Amherst's work proved it could be done. They just need the Ann Arbor recipe.
Tchernenko[]
Theo Parnell and Jessica Kandel were discussing Vitaly Tchernenko, with Kandel calling him an idiot. Despite Parnell defending the Russian Virologist, Kandel still thinks he's an idiot as he built a bioweapon, when he initially was trying to create a cure for the Green Posion. And even though Parnell admits mistakes were made for creating the Eclipse, he didn't want to kill Tchernenko.
Kandel convinced Parnell by kicking Tchernenko out of her lab and out of her sight, since she didn't want the virologist to be experimenting on people.
The Strategist[]
Theo Parnell and Jessica Kandel were discussing Harlan Lloyd, aka The Strategist, as Kandel knew him as a paper pusher and bureaucrat. Parnell mentions Lloyd's work in trying to create a vaccine through an asymptomatic carrier, even mentioning Lloyd's approach he suggested to Agent Donovan Tower. However, Kandel believes the approach these two made them either monsters or idiots, then asked Parnell what he heard about the NSA's Detention Center. Parnell correctly recalled that an asymptomaic carrier was imprisoned there, and infected the entire center.
Kandel then mentions the True Sons's takeover, and torturing the carrier in their effort to develop a cure. Her point is that people like the True Sons, or Harlan, believed in the "ends justifies the means", to develop a cure for the Green Poison.
And Kandel refuses to torture people, just so she can develop a cure, or at least, a vaccine.
Tower[]
Theo Parnell and Jessica Kandel were discussing Donovan Tower, due to his encounter with the Green Poison, or rather a mutated variant he and his team encountered. Kandel refused to consider having him around, citing that he is not a Doctor. Parnell then asked if he's a soldier, but Kandel answered that Tower was a PMC, acting as private security for Nelson. A gun for hire. And in her opinion, the "rudest motherfucker" she had to call to ask for an update on the BSAVs.
Claire[]
Theo Parnell and Jessica Kandel were discussing Claire Ortiz, with Parnell remarking her as brilliant. Kandel, on the other hand, never heard of her. Which is understandable, as the virologist is not an agent nor interested in AI communication systems. Parnell then offers Kandel to upgrade her comms or give her a Division smart-watch so she can officially be an agent, but she kindly refused.
Parnell relented, then mentions the schematics he got for Amherst's 3D printer, offering he could make a new eye for Faye Lau within seconds. However, Kandel thought it was a bad idea, and commented that 3D printing already messed up her life. Furthermore, she says that Lau is content with the eyepatch, so she doesn't blow her cover.
Parnell, on the other hand, thought that Natalya Sokolova would try to force Lau in wearing a bionic eye, mentioning that she doesn't want a less than perfect soldier in her ranks.
ANNA[]
Theo Parnell and Jessica Kandel continued their discussion of Claire Ortiz, with Kandel understanding that Claire being the one who built ISAC, the Black Tusk network, and the SHD Network. Parnell described her as a bag of rats in a snake pit when it comes to socializing, but a genius, nonetheless. Kandel then lamented over the fact that Mrs. Ortiz worked with Black Tusk, though Parnell argued that she took more pleasure in fucking them over. And without her brainchild, ANNA, they would've been all dead.
This led to Kandel asking who is ANNA, which Parnell described her as the original AI for SHD tech, being part handler, and part database manager. Kandel then questioned on why the Division were using ISAC if that was the case, which led to Parnell asking if she even listened to the comms brief he sent to her.
Kandel admitted that she did not, as those comms could've taken thousands of hours to listen to, and didn't have time to go through them all.
Rogue Network[]
Theo Parnell and Jessica Kandel continued their discussion about ANNA, with the latter asking the former if he just found her hidden in the Mobile SHD Server. Parnell explained that he didn't exactly find her, as Vivian Conley told him where to find her, and he found a way to let the AI out of the box. Kandel noted that he makes ANNA sound like she's alive, which Parnell says yes and no, arguing that ANNA is not alive in the human sense, but she's alive in the sense that she's growing and learning, and she has all this power but doesn't know what to do with it, where Parnell described her as a genie trapped in a bottle and he let her out.
When Kandel asked what that means, he explained that he put ANNA back to the smart-watches, where she can go in and out of everyone's comms systems. And with the AI being the backbone of Black Tusk's tech, she can extract their intel and give it to the Rogues.
However, Kandel couldn't help but ask about the necessity of recruiting Schaeffer or "Cassandra" if ANNA is really that powerful. Parnell answered that while knowledge is power, it's not possible to unlock a biometric lock without biometrics, can't turn the key without the body, and it's not possible to convince Ellis to give out his clearance to a person without a biometric ID they were assigned to give the clearance to. He then lastly described ANNA as a god, in a world that's not built for her.
Two Factor[]
Theo Parnell meets with Aaron Keener at One Police Plaza, prior to the events of Warlords of New York, where they discussed the Cassandra mission that Faye Lau would later undertake. Parnell shared what Lau told him, saying that she doesn't trust Keener and thinks his callsign should be the Sphinx, though Keener himself is fine with Vanguard.
Parnell mentioned Lau wanted a "nuclear protocol", which Keener deduced she meant a two-factor authentication, where Parnell explained that she wanted two users to activate and deploy the national Rogue Network. As Keener understood, if Black Tusk or Cal's Hunters found a way to terminate the network, then two users can reactivate them as Parnell emphasized. Keener then asked if it comes with the biometric locks, which Parnell confirmed with user ID and biometrics, or Keener could otherwise kill Lau and take her watch for the 2FA, in case one of them dies, they should have a second.
Parnell then commented that Lau wanted Jessica Kandel to have the watch in case she dies, though Keener argued that Kandel is not an agent, whereas Parnell mentioned that Lau trusts the virologist, but Keener argued Faye's Watch is part of the 2FA, and they need someone willing to wear the watch. Parnell mentioned Bridgette "Viper" Douglas as Lau's second choice, but Keener refused since she was his second choice as well.
And lastly, Parnell mentioned Kelso as Lau's third choice, which puzzled Keener since those two agents didn't meet each other yet and asked if she didn't want it to give it to Melanie Hoskins. Parnell answered that Lau did not, as she thought Hoskins had too much on her plate and was in Keener's corner, which Parnell admitted she wasn't wrong on that.
Crossed Lines[]
Theo Parnell gets called up by Faye Lau, who was outraged by the Eclipse Virus attack on City Hall instigated by Aaron Keener and his Rogue Cell (Theo Parnell, Vivian Conley, Javier Kajika, and James Dragov), albeit the call was one-sided as only Parnell's voice was heard. Lau threatened to pull out from her Cassandra mission, but Parnell tried to dissuade her, explaining that they were destroying the Hunter outpost inside City Hall and were only after the Hunters and Calvin McManus' loyalists, insisting that no civilians were killed by the virus despite evidence to the contrary.
Parnell also further explained the reasoning for this action as they needed to get Natalya Sokolova's attention, as the attack on Conley Island instigated by Conley and her Cleaners weren't enough, and they needed Nat to think Keener and his Cell are a threat worth her time. However, Lau was still upset, as Keener and his cell broke their promise on only using the Eclipse against the Hunters, but Parnell argued that the City Hall attack got the attention from Agent Kelso and the D.C Agents who were on their way to New York, with Nat and her Black Tusk to follow, as evidence that the plan was working.
Parnell then made a promise to Lau, telling her if the Eclipse was used to kill civilians again, she can walk away and tell Nat everything, telling her that she can trust him.
Propaganda[]
Black Tusk officer, Richard Danvers, and Sarah Moretti, aka The Rat Queen, of the Rikers had a discussion regarding propaganda, where Danvers suggested her to make propaganda broadcasts and spread them across Brooklyn in hopes to turn the people there against the Bridge settlement, including former Riker members who already joined The Bridge. Rat Queen, on the other hand, was apprehensive, as she wasn't open to make live broadcasts. However, Danvers told her with Matthew Grant's help, she can make pre-recorded broadcasts to spread them across broadcast speakers.
Rat Queen was still hesitant, as she didn't want her voice to compromise her identity. Thus, Danvers told her that with help from the tech loaned from Descent simulation program, Grant can help her in making her sound anything she desires. Even talking like Keener, if need be, albeit with the caveat that Rat Queen must follow the same voice cadence.
Castle[]
Theo Parnell got another call from Faye Lau, who was very angry over the Eclipse attack that happened at Castle Clinton. Parnell insisted the people who were there weren't innocent, and argued they were either Hunters or Cal's loyalists save for the one guy that Division agents later rescued (Referring to Dan Abatt), then lastly telling Faye the people at Castle Clinton weren't the heroes she thought they were, they were the target. Furthermore, Parnell told Faye that Keener and his cell wanted her to be angry and furious at them to maintain her cover, especially with Agent Kelso trusting her and can smell bullshit a mile away.
And in order for the plan (have Faye Lau inside the Black Tusk) to work, they needed Kelso to draw Natalya Sokolova and the Black Tusk to New York. Not only that, Kelso has the BSAV and knows where April Kelleher is, as she helped her disappear. Moreover, Natalya has been tracking Kelso since April showed in D.C due to the agent's involvement with the civilian.
Parnell managed to talk Faye down and convinced her to continue her Cassandra mission, needing her to infiltrate the Black Tusk so they can recover the BSAV and April before Natalya does.
Violet 2.0[]
Matthew Grant was playing and adoring the Warhound, Violet, treating like it was his pet. His associate, Richard Danvers, mentioned that his colleagues added an upgrade for Violet, where it mimics barking sounds that Dogs do. Grant was grateful, feeling that Violet is perfect.
Playtime[]
Matthew Grant was spending some time with his "pet", Violet, calling it a "good girl" and "who's the violent death machine". Richard Danvers interrupts the playtime, and asked Grant what he was doing, only for him to deflect and deny anything.

- Killing marked enemies grants bonus points.
Active Modifiers[]
This season introduces five Active Modifiers, designed to consume your current score bonus in exchange for a powerful temporary boost. While they work best when coordinated with a team, solo players will also benefit significantly from their effects.
Additionally, Passive Modifier values are doubled for the full duration of any Active Modifier.
- Broken Link - on activation, freeze all attributes at their current score and double the values of each current bonus offered by the attributes' respective tiers, for a limited duration.
- Target-Rich Environment - on activation, 3 unmarked targets within 35m will each be marked with a different mark. For the next 15s, your kills and assists will yield a x2 attribute score multiplier. After the 15s are up, freeze the attributes at their current score and the values of each current bonus offered by the attributes' respective tiers is multiplied by 4 for 25s.
- Assault Link - on activation, the player's Firearms Score is set to Tier 5 for the duration of the ability. Allies within 25m are granted a Firearms Score bonus when cast. The player gains +5% Weapon DMG for every non-red core equipped. Attributes are frozen and bonuses are multiplied by 4 for the duration of the modifier. Duration increased by 3s for each ally nearby at the time of activation.
- Security Link - on activation, the player's Stamina Score is set to Tier 5 for the duration of the ability. Allies within 25__m__ are granted a Stamina Score bonus when cast. The player gains 60k extra Max Armor for every non-Blue core equipped. Attributes are frozen and bonuses are multiplied by 4 for the duration of the modifier. Duration increased by 3s for each ally nearby at the time of activation.
- Tech Link - on activation, the player's Electronics Score is set to Tier 5 for the duration of the ability. Allies within 25 m are granted an Electronics Score bonus when cast. The player gains +10% Skill Efficiency for every non-Yellow Core equipped. Attributes are frozen and bonuses are multiplied by 4 for the duration of the modifier. Duration increased by 3s for each ally nearby at the time of activation.
Passive Modifiers[]
This season's Passive Modifiers are directly tied to your current Attribute Tiers. For a passive modifier to be activated, you need to have one or more attributes reaching a minimum tier. If you drop below the required Tier, the bonus becomes inactive.
- Loaded up - 25% of +Critical Hit Chance (CHC%) is added as +Critical Hit Damage (CHD%) while Max Tier in Firearms.
- Specialized - Signature Weapon DMG is boosted by 10% for each Firearms Tier.
- Extra Padding - Gain 5% Protection from Elites per Blue Core while Max Tier in Stamina.
- Safety First - Hazard Protection is increased by 7.5% for each Stamina Tier.
- Hands-on - While in Max Electronics Tier, 50% of the current Skill Haste bonus is added as a Skill Damage Bonus.
- Interference Blocker - Disrupt Resistance is increased by 10% for each Electronics Tier.
- The Best Kind of Defense - While at least Tier 3 in both Firearms and Stamina, gain +2.5% Headshot Damage for every 100K Armor you have.
- Supportive - While at least Tier 3 in both Stamina and Electronics increases outgoing and incoming repair by 25%.
- Tech Upgrades - While at least Tier 3 in both Firearms and Electronics increases Skill Duration by 25% of the current CHD value.
- Multitasker - While at Tier 5 in all Attributes, you receive +7.5% Weapon DMG, 85k Max Armor increase and +1 Skill Tier.
- A Tier a Day - For each Tier in any attribute, gain +10% Max Health.
Hostile Countermeasures[]
This season, there are 3 hostile modifiers in the form of coloured marks, offering enemy buffs.
Enemies can spawn with one, two, or all three unique Marks at once. But they cannot gain the same mark twice. Marks are directly tied to the Global Modifier and the Attribute Score system.
Enemy Marks and Effects[]
- Firearms Mark - the marked enemy gains +15% DMG and +20% Movement Speed.
- Stamina Mark - the marked enemy gains Overheal. Critical Hit Damage is reduced by 35% on this enemy.
- Electronics Mark - the marked enemy takes -33% Damage from skills and -33% Damage to Weakpoints. While their gadgets are deployed, they take -33% Damage.
Note: Enemies cannot receive the same Mark more than once, but they can carry up to 3 different Marks at the same time.
Rewards for Engaging Marked Enemies[]
- Killing a marked enemy grants Score Points in each Attribute corresponding to their Marks.
- Assisting (dealing any damage) grants Score Points per relevant Attribute when the enemy dies.
- Skill kills count as assists, not kills.
- Skill-based assists do not grant any Score Points.
Manhunt Scouts[]
In Crossroads, new Manhunt Scouts will continue to be released weekly - but there's no longer a requirement to complete them in a fixed order once they're available.
This season, only the two Scout missions designated as High-Value Targets are required to unlock access to the Climax Mission. These missions are critical for gathering intel and progressing through the Manhunt. The rest can be completed in any order - or skipped entirely. Prioritize accordingly, Agent.
Seasonal Journey[]
We're introducing several updates aimed at making the Seasonal Journey more flexible and rewarding:
- Journey Missions 4,5, and 6 now unlock simultaneously after completing Mission 3. You can now tackle these missions in any order.
- Each mission is themed around a specific attribute - Firearms, Stamina, and Electronics - and focuses on related objectives and passives.
Passive Modifiers are no longer unlocked by completing entire missions. Instead, they're tied to specific objectives within Missions 4 through 7:
- Missions 4-6: The first two objectives in each unlock their respective attribute-base passives.
- Mission 6: Unlocks Hybrid passives through its first five objectives.
Active Modifiers continue to be unlocked by completing at least 6 objectives in Missions 3-6:
- Broken Link is granted automatically alongside the Global Modifier.
- Additional Active Modifiers are awarded based on total objectives completed within each mission.
Finally, Mission 7 becomes available once you've earned at least 4 Passive Modifiers from Missions 4-6.
This new structure allows for a more gradual and customizable progression, giving you the freedom to unlock passives and active modifiers in the order that best suits your build and playstyle.

Player Onboarding Improvements[]
We’re making it easier for new Agents to learn the ropes and hit the ground running with the new onboarding feature: Milestone Builds.
Milestone Builds[]
Milestone Builds are designed to help new players understand the basics of build-making through guided progression.
- One Milestone Cache is granted at each of the following levels: 8,15,25, and 35.
- Each Cache includes a strong weapon and gear pieces that work well together, encouraging players to experiment with synergy and loadout structure.
- Equipping the gear triggers quick explanations that highlight how pieces work together.
QUALITY OF LIFE CHANGES[]
Progression and Objectives[]
- Seasonal Journey objectives can now be progressed while playing in co-op.
- Season XP rewards for all Living World Activities, Main Missions and Game Modes have been increased by 85%.
Scavenging Points[]
This season, we're updating how Scavenging Points work to create a more balanced and account-friendly system.
- Scavenging Points are now shared across all characters on your account. Hardcore characters have a separate pool.
- The shared pool becomes available once a character unlocks the SHD Watch.
- On first login, the available pool will be set to match the maximum amount earned by any single character on your account.
- From then on, any use of these points will draw from the same account wide total, meaning they can't be reused across multiple characters.
To support this change, we've tripled the resource rewards earned from Scavenging Points. This ensures better value and a smoother progression experience for all Agents.
| Resource | Y6S3 | Y7S1 |
| E-Credits | 11500 | 34500 |
| Ceramics | 100 | 300 |
| Polycarbonate | 100 | 300 |
| Steel | 100 | 300 |
| Carbon Fiber | 75 | 225 |
| Electronics | 75 | 225 |
| Titanium | 75 | 225 |
| Printer Filament | 15 | 45 |
| SHD Calibration | 1 | 3 |
| Field Recon Data | 2 | 6 |
We understand this is a big shift, that's why you'll receive a one-time grant of 100% of your previously earned Scavenging Points that one character would get, based on your SHDlevel,so you can spend them freely under the new system.
Level 40 Boost[]
The new Level 40 Boost offers a faster path to endgame content.
- It instantly levels a character to 40 and provides a full set of Level 40 gear.
- It can be purchased individually per character and is also automatically granted to anyone who owns the Battle for Brooklyn DLC.
