The D50 is a Pistol in Tom Clancy's The Division 2.

The D50 can be obtained from enemies, vendors, weapon chests, Sealed Caches, and any area/mission with Pistols as targeted loot.

The Named variant Survivalist D50 can only be obtained through the Survivalist Specialization tree. In total, an investment of 10 Specialization Points is required to raise the weapon to Level 40.

The Exotic variant Liberty can initially only be crafted using its Blueprint by acquiring its component parts from Named True Sons bosses across various Main Missions in Washington, D.C.. Thereafter, it can be obtained from Exotic Caches and any area/mission with Pistols as targeted loot.

History[]

The D50 is Tom Clancy's The Division 2's version of the Desert Eagle, a semi-automatic handgun developed by Magnum Research. The model in-game is the Mark XIX, which accepts interchangeable barrels for different ammunition calibers and features a top accessory rail.

The Desert Eagle is chambered for the .50 Action Express - one of the largest and most powerful pistol rounds ever produced. To withstand firing such ammunition, the Desert Eagle uses a gas-operated ejection and chambering system normally reserved for full-length rifles, allowing it to match magnum revolvers in firepower.

Usage[]

The D50 deals slightly lower damage than 686 Magnum or Diceros revolvers, but fires faster from a larger magazine. With decent aim and enough investment in Pistol and Headshot Damage, it's capable of downing Veteran or even Elite enemies with a single headshot. But such power comes at the cost of control: whereas other hand cannons recoil in mild and predictable patterns, the D50 has a tendency to kick sharply in semi-random directions with every bullet - sometimes to the upper right, upper left, or even horizontally on occasion.

This makes it difficult to land follow-up shots without taking time to re-aim and limits its effective damage output for all but the most elite Pistol marksmen. Anyone else seeking a hard-hitting Sidearm would do better with the more controllable revolvers.
