Biography[]
Eva Garcia was a student of history and philosophy at Kenly College where she worked on a podcast for extra credit, during which she provided details on the school's history and background, along with her thoughts.
After the Green Poison outbreak, and the shutdown of the college, Garcia planned to head to Florida where her mother lived. According to a voicemail she left her mother, she decided to catch a ride with a man named Chad rather than waiting for a CERA evacuation bus. At some point during the drive near Baltimore, Chad "tried some stupid shit" (she does not elaborate further) but she was able to fight him off and continued her journey on foot.
In another voicemail, Garcia tells her mother that she again had to delay her travel as the roads were questionable and the weather was getting dangerous owing to an extra cold winter. She says she might be able to walk again in the spring, but for now she was going to stay with a group she'd met that had set up in an apartment complex outside Washington, D.C. called Athena. She even struck up a friendship with Kazi Kanhai, Maira's younger brother. Although, she makes it clear in another voicemail that Kazi is too young for her and it's only a friendship, nothing more.
However, things would take a horrible turn for the Athena community. Kazi and a number of them were killed by True Sons in an disastrous attempt to secure Maryland, And not only that, they suffered a large attack by the Outcasts only to be miraculously saved by Division agents, though they lost one in the process. Between the previous events, and Maira's recruitment to the Division, the people in the Athena settlement felt there wasn't a point in staying anymore and decided to move up and set up in the Castle settlement. From there, she'd do her part to get the radio up and running so she could play music, make announcements and even boost morale.
Broken Wings[]
Following the Black Tusk attack on the White House, Garcia was kidnapped while on patrol alongside Mari Singh, John Yazzie, Lauren Fong, and Mitchell Billings. Shortly after John Yazzie was rescued, Garcia was handed over to the True Sons under Lieutenant Thompson and accompanied by Private Robinson and Sergeant Barnes.
The Division began to chase after Garcia after the True Sons were sighted moving her into Federal Triangle district, making stops at the Ellipse Fuel Depot, Department of Justice, Navy Plaza, and the National Archives, before setting up shop at Viewpoint Museum. Despite fierce resistance from the True Sons, the agents tracked Garcia through the district, neutralizing Lt. Thompson and the True Sons, and rescuing Garcia before she made her way back to The Castle.
After being rescued, Manny debriefed Eva on what exactly the Black Tusk wanted from her. Garcia stated that Sokolova wanted her to record some broadcasts for the troops. When Manny asked how Sokolova knew she was a DJ, Garcia replied that she was apparently a fan of her podcast. Afterward, Garcia can sometimes be heard broadcasting over public speakers following the completion of a Propaganda Broadcast.
Propaganda Broadcasts[]
As of Year 5 Season 2, Eva Garcia makes broadcasts after the completion of a Propaganda Broadcast where she talks about the Castle settlement and its infrastructure, criticizing Natalya Sokolova and Black Tusk, as well as her thoughts about her present company.
