Gear

In Tom Clancy's The Division 2, an Agent has a total of 6 available gear slots:

  • Mask
  • Backpack
  • Body Armor
  • Gloves
  • Holster
  • Knee Pads

Each Gear piece comes with an armor stat which is an indication of the amount of damage one can take before losing all armor. Once all armor is gone, a character is very vulnerable.

On this screen, the player has 1 major and 4 minor offensive attributes, 4 major and 5 minor defensive attributes, 1 major and 3 minor skill attributes.

Gear improves the Agent's overall effectiveness with 3 main stats:

  • Offense1 Offensive
  • Defense1 Defensive
  • Tech1 Skills


Brand Sets[]

Brand Sets are different from Gear Sets. Players have access to Brand Sets from the very start of the game. Wearing a certain set will provide a bonus. If a player has three gear pieces of the same Brand, they'll get additional bonuses. Some pieces of the Brand Set will also end up together with certain talents.

Gear Sets[]

Gear Sets work similar to Brand Sets, but are designed towards the endgame. They can consist of up to 6 pieces and have more powerful bonuses to unlock.

Exotic Items & Weapons[]

Exotics are unique Weapons and Gear with their own lore, looks and talents. They can be acquired by completing random activities in the Open World, but can also be crafted when having the correct Blueprint for it. Crafting Exotics requires exotic material, which in turn can be obtained by deconstructing any Exotic item.

Gear Mods[]

Gear Mods can drop like normal loot, and follow the same Quality rules. They can be attached to gear which comes with Gear Mod slots (Mask, Backpack, and Body Armor) .
