I'm set-up, Agents on approach. Sir, get ready to be impressed.
- Jack Bonney, moments before engaging the incoming Division agents

Jack Bonney was a Unit Operative for the B.T.S.U. After the events at Coney Island, Bonney was sent by Natalya Sokolova as a replacement for the Hunter who was killed there, becoming a new recruit for Calvin McManus's "Hunter Program" despite his age. Bonney would then be given a unique SHD Watch with Classified Agent status and access to the same unknown network used by the Hunters.

Profile[]

Jack Bonney was estranged from his father and raised by his mother. He never received formal education but excels in athletics and combat sports. Briefly worked as a "cleaner" for the mob. Jack also had the ability to recognize and analyze his adversaries' weaknesses and exploit them. Since joining the Black Tusk, he had been known to make rash decisions. However, he's a highly skilled soldier.

Biography[]

Jack Bonney had a difficult upbringing as he was estranged from his father and was left to be raised by his mother. He didn't receive formal education, though he excelled in athletics and combat sports. For a brief time, he worked as a "cleaner" for the mob.

Bonney joined Black Tusk at some point, though he'd have a hard time fitting in as he became known to make rash decisions. At some point, he was put as part of Bardon Schaeffer's initial squad. Despite his teammates seeing him as a weasel, he was a highly skilled soldier.

After the events at Camp White Oak and the death of Faye Lau, Bonney not only became the new De-Facto leader of the B.T.S.U. (at least for the time being), but also a new recruit for the Hunter Program, being granted access to their Classified SHD Tech and Unknown Network. Later, Bonney and his team would be sent to Jefferson Trade Center, where they intercepted Captain Lewis's True Sons and slaughtered them, leaving only Lewis himself as the sole survivor. Bonney tried sending one of his own recruits, Private Conners, to attempt to kill the Division agents that had just arrived on the scene, but to no good. In an attempt to ambush the agents (and simultaneously impress his Hunter trainer who was present on-site) using an XB-31 Marauder-Class Quadcopter as air support, Bonney was killed by the agents with the help of DC-62 air-strikes sent by Lewis.

Agents got his SHD Watch which had classified status. This raised more questions than answers, and the answers wouldn't be known until much later. Despite he and others being transferred to other units, Bonney's death symbolized the dissolution of Schaeffer's original squad.

Personality[]

Jack Bonney was known to be smug and arrogant, as he often found himself in arguments with Petrus Brenner, forcing Bardon Schaeffer to end those arguments. Due to his past working in the mob, he could recognize the weaknesses of his opponents and exploit them.

His arrogance and smugness was shown in full display at Jefferson Trade Center, as he gloated about winning his bet against Private Conner towards a Black Tusk commander when Conner failed to kill Division agents. He saw his candidacy in the Hunter Program and access to their network as an opportunity to prove himself and to his boss, The Recruiter.

However, his arrogance was his downfall as agents turned the table against him, ending him.

Abilities[]

Jack Bonney was a unique Black Tusk Assault armed with a Tactical Mk16 assault rifle, Hunter EMP Drones and an XB-31 "Marauder" Drone.

Trivia[]

  • Despite being a member of Bardon Schaeffer's Elite B.T.S.U., Bonney does not have a unique character model in-game, instead, his appearance is identical to that of a regular Black Tusk Assault.
    • Bonney's SHD Watch was nowhere to be seen in his character model as a result of having a re-used character model from common B.T.S.U. Assaults.
  • Despite being a B.T.S.U. Assault in-game, Bonney has also been depicted as a B.T.S.U. Controller in ECHOs before.
  • Additionally, despite using a Tactical Mk16 in-game, he has been depicted using a Military P416 in the Season 10 trailer.
  • Bonney was the first instance of a final boss in a seasonal Manhunt mission that was not the season's Prime Target themselves.
