Kevin Park is a technician and programmer in Tom Clancy's The Division 2. He's featured in few Descent comms added in Year 6 Season 1: First Rogue and the creator of LINC AI system.
History[]
During his time working in the tech industry, Kevin Park pitched about his idea of an AI system that can access all kind of communication devices during situations like an EMP attack, a solar storm, or someone attacks the system. Mathias Schneider was skeptical at first, but felt Park's idea was good and encouraged him to talk to Claire Ortiz, though he slipped that earlier, making Park deduce that Claire is one of Mathias's "secret DARPA buddies".
A while later, Park presented the next-gen version of LINC to Mathias, where the former made a few upgrades to it: Stable network interface, robust design, improved battery life, and added customization options to the screen. Mathias was impressed by the presentation, then asked for full demonstration of its capabilities, technical schematics, and reviewing the code so he could share it to the relevant people and get Park's project funded. Park agreed, though he sasses Mathias when he asked if he's gonna bring Claire.
After some time, Kevin Park was at a conference about AI and guidance system applications where he meets Claire. He got to talk with her, even pitched his LINC project. While Claire admitted it was adorable, she mentioned it doesn't compete to her AI, ISAC. Park becomes worried about ISAC and the security risks it could represent. So he approached Mathias about this subject, demanding they warn people about Claire's work and the privacy law violations it could cause.
However, Park got intimidated into silence when Mathias warned him if he tells anyone about ISAC, he'd be flagged a traitor to the United States and sent to life imprisonment at Guantanamo Bay.
It's unknown whether Park survived the Green Poison outbreak or whether his LINC project survived.
