Lauren Fong is a minor character found in Tom Clancy's The Division 2. She is the girlfriend of Amanda Weekes, another minor character, and acts as the secondary mission-giver for the side-mission Missing Wire Scavengers. She's also one of the four civilians that Division agents rescue in Year 5 Season 1: Broken Wings.
Profile[]
Manny Ortega offered to relocate Amanda Weekes and Lauren Fong to the Castle Settlement to give them a safe place to live and help rebuild the settlement. Lauren and Amanda found a great sense of purpose and joy working with Mari Singh creating the fish farm and aquaponics operations at the Castle. When Natalya Sokolova attacked the White House, Lauren was taken with Mari.
Biography[]
Prior to Green Poison outbreak, Lauren Fong was a student and was tutored by Amanda Weekes. At some point, Lauren worked out the nerve to ask Amanda out, and the two became a couple.
Like many civilians, Fong and Weekes were forced to survive during the crisis, eventually finding a small scavenging community in Judiciary Square. During the events of Tom Clancy's The Division 2, Fong asks Division agents to find and rescue missing members of her community. The agents find the missing members, rescuing them from hostile Hyenas.
Months later, the scavenging community took some losses, so Fong and some of her fellow community members needed a safe place to live. Manny recruited them to join in the reconstruction of the Castle Settlement. Despite the awkward introduction with Mari Singh due to her girlfriend being deaf, she and Weekes would provide invaluable support for the fish farm and aquaponics operations.
During the attack on the White House by Black Tusk, Fong was kidnapped alongside Mari Singh, and other civilians critical to the Castle.
Broken Wings[]
After both John Yazzie and Eva Garcia were rescued, Division agents combed through Downtown East, eventually finding Lauren held in the District Union Arena. The agents fight through hostile Black Tusk forces in the arena, while she was rescued by JTF forces.
Re-settling in the Castle, Lauren was debriefed by Manny, asking her why she was helping Black Tusk. Although she wanted to see her girlfriend first, she clarifies that she was answering a question from one of the soldiers, arguing that hostages aren't supposed to antagonize their kidnappers. Which makes Manny wonder if Sokolova is building a long-term goal for her organization. Lauren assured Manny that they'll get Mari back and that she'll be fine.
Lauren would continue her work in the Castle with Amanda, making sure the fish farm and aquaponics are well-maintained.
Shades of Red[]
Lauren Fong was one of the many candidates for recruitment in Aaron Keener's settlement, which the Division learned about via intercepting intel from the NSA Databases during their incursions in the Descent simulation facility. Bridgette Douglas thinks Lauren is too much baggage and would never go anywhere without her girlfriend, Amanda, and is more likely useful to open a taco truck at Dumbo.
Keener argues that he wants to open Aquaponics at the Bridge, which led to Douglas commenting that he should ask ANNA for schematics and raid a pet store.
Trivia[]
- Ironically, despite being relocated to the Castle Settlement with Amanda Weekes, Lauren can be seen with her girlfriend in the small community at Judiciary Square. It's probable this is a dev oversight.
