Tom Clancy's The Division Tom Clancy's The Division 2

The MG5 is a returning Light Machine Gun in Tom Clancy's The Division 2.

Gameplay[]

The MG5 has the highest rate of fire at 800 rounds per minute, much higher than the M60 and the M249. However, the magazine size is roughly in half at 50 rounds per belt, more akin to the magazine-fed LMGs, while still having a lengthly reload time at 5.50 seconds. In addition, its optimal range is up to 30 meters, less than the belt-fed LMGs and even the L86.

Overall, the MG5 is a mix between the two LMG types, with a fast rate of fire, while having a long reload time and small magazine size.

The Infantry variant can be found in the hands of both Hunters and Rogue Agents, while the standard variant is used by Hyena heavies.
