Major Amanda Xander is one of Captain Lewis's four lieutenants featured in the Hidden Alliance season.
Biography[]
Amanda Xander dreamed of being a cop. That's all she ever wanted in life. To bring order and justice and uphold the law. She was a dedicated and skilled soldier in the war against drugs. And loved the feeling of getting a perp in her crosshairs. Unfortunately, 90% of police work is waiting, donuts and paperwork, so she joined a competitive shooting league. There is nothing more dangerous than a bored Amanda with an itchy trigger finger. She had to find ways to channel her energy that was constructive, so she didn't get another sanction for excessive force. Her CO recommended she sign up for the National Guard, hoping their training exercises would scratch that itch, and she would calm down. A month later, the Green Poison was released, and she was placed on active duty with the JTF in Antwon Ridgeway's unit. There couldn't have been a better/worse place for a woman with Xander's specific psychopathy than with the future leader of the True Sons.
History[]
It is known that, at some point (presumably after having already joined the True Sons), Xander engaged in a romantic relationship with Rogue Division Agent Bridgette "Viper" Douglas; however, this relationship would eventually come to an end that caused the two to distance themselves from one another. After that, and the end of the alliance between True Sons and Black Tusk due to the death of Linette "Dusk" Edwards, Xander would be contacted by her former lover, who would ask for her aid in helping Faye Lau investigate Natalya Sokolova's plans, however, knowing of Viper's current relationship with Faye and feeling envy of it, Xander would decline, with not even Bardon Schaeffer's requests being enough to make her understand the situation. Because of this, Xander would tell General Anderson what had happened, which would lead him to call Sokolova to discuss the situation.
After the death of former Division commander Faye Lau at Camp White Oak, Major Xander was sent by Captain Lewis to Washington, D.C. as part of a specialized team with a yet-to-be known objective. While there, Xander was spotted torturing and interrogating civilians, though it's still unknown what she is looking for.
After the Division destabilized Major Xander's activities in Judiciary Square, she was located at District Union Arena. Despite the resistance from her unit and herself, Xander would be killed by the agents.
Abilities[]
Major Xander is a unique True Sons Sniper, armed with SOCOM M1A Marksman Rifle, M45A1 Handgun, SHD Blinder Fireflies, SHD Defender Drones, Hunters EMP Drones and DC-62 Grenades.
- Despite never being seen using it in-game, Xander is depicted as being armed with a Classic M700 in both her character artwork and in-game briefing cutscene.
- Additionally, in the CGI trailer for Season 9, Xander can also be seen holding a Surplus SVD.
Trivia[]
- Apparently, Xander has been known to have had a previous romantic relationship with Rogue Division Agent Bridgette "Viper" Douglas, whom she would later begin to distrust, not only due to her affiliation with the B.T.S.U., but also because she suspects Viper might be in a secret relationship with Faye Lau.
- Like the 3 other sub-targets from Season 9, the EMP Drone that appears during Xander's boss fight was presumably deployed by either Jack Bonney or his Recruiter Hunter, however, since the drone actually helps her fight the player, it can be considered part of her Abilities kit.
