Mechanical Animal is a High-End Assault Rifle in Tom Clancy's The Division 2.
It is a Named variant of the SIG 556, featuring the Talent Future Perfection. It was added to the game in Title Update 10.
This weapon can be obtained from enemies, vendors, weapon chests, Sealed Caches, and any area/mission with Assault Rifles as targeted loot. It has an increased drop chance from the Main Mission Camp White Oak.
Replicas of this weapon can be crafted using its 
Blueprint, which can only be obtained from Reconstructed Caches purchased with 
NSA Tech from NSA Stations.
