Mort "Cursed" Kellogg, this guy has the worst luck. Rumour is he's a compulsive gambler. Got into debt and enlisted to try and pay back the loan sharks. They say he won the lotto on Black Friday and couldn't collect his winnings. Pretty sure the loan sharks are the least of his problems now.

Mort "Cursed" Kellogg is a Black Tusk Operative and one of Stovepipe's four lieutenants in the Reign of Fire season. Cursed was a compulsive gambler known for having a very bad luck prior to enlisting, which he did in order to pay back the money he owed.

History[]

Mort "Cursed" Kellogg had a gambling problem. He got in debt with the wrong people early on and ended up owing money to loan sharks before he graduated high school. To pay off his debts and avoid his creditors, he enlisted in the Army. He was deployed to the Dagger Complex in Darmstadt, Germany.

The week the Green Poison was released, he went to Copenhagen and Malmo for the weekend, where he bought a Euro Jackpot lottery ticket. He played his lucky numbers the same way as always: 3, 13, 22, 25, 31 and 8, 10, and started the long journey back to base. He put the ticket in his wallet and forgot about it until the drawing the following Friday. He sat in front of the TV in the base's mess hall and watched as each of his numbers came up. He tried to contain his excitement, and then the local news broke into the broadcast and announced mass hospitalizations and an outbreak of an unidentified viral infection spreading across the globe. "Cursed" was never able to collect his winnings.

Kellogg would eventually join the Black Tusk through unknown means (though he does mention Natalya Sokolova "saving his life" on more than one occasion) and become one of their highest-ranking Logistics officers.

In the wake of the alliance between the Black Tusk and True Sons, Cursed was assigned to a unit under the leadership of Zachary "Stovepipe" Beattie, alongside Charles "Chunks" Crawford, Lieutenant Martin Bantam and Beatrice "Auntie" Kaplan. He was particularly tasked to oversee recon sweeps of the White House perimeter in Washington, D.C., as to discover the status of imprisoned B.T.S.U. Leader Bardon Schaeffer. He would then be given another task, to meet up with True Sons officer Beatrice Kaplan and recruit her directly to the B.T.S.U.'s ranks.

During his activities in Constitution Hall, "Cursed" would be located by Division agents and revealed to be at Tidal Basin, where he would engage and be killed by agents.

Trivia[]

  • Similarly to Mitchell "Lucky" Woods in Season 10 (curiously also a Black Tusk Tank), Cursed's character model in-game is very different to his appearance in the trailers and artworks.
    • While his original appearance depicts him as wearing a Black Tusk outfit with no gloves on his hands and no balaclava underneath his helmet, his in-game model during Tidal Basin: Cursed has him wearing a White Tusk uniform (gloves and balaclava included) underneath his armor. It is unknown if this was just a unique design choice or if it has any story implications.
