National Security Agency (NSA) is an intelligence agency for the United States DoD (Department of Defense) under the authority of the DNI (Director of National Intelligence). It's mission specializes in SIGINT (Signals Intelligence), which involves monitoring, collecting and processing information
While they don't play a major part in the Division universe, they are involved in some ways like Extremis Malis comic. One of their sites, Site B13, is a location for a 
Classified Assignments in Tom Clancy's The Division 2. In addition, they have an underground bunker in Washington D.C., which serves as the basis for the Descent simulation program.
History[]
Before the Outbreak[]
Calvin McManus, the Secretary of Homeland Security, sought an AI for NSA Surveillance and the newly-minted Strategic Homeland Division. The field tests that ISAC presented for NSA were impressive, but were ethically dubious due to breaches of security and privacy
In addition, Cal allowed Ortiz Robotics to use an NSA underground facility in Washington D.C to use for field tests of their projects, and later use it for the combat simulation program. One analyst became aware of Gordon Amherst and his fanatical views. She tried to warn McManus about Amherst and the danger he represents multiple times, only to be brushed off again and again.
Outbreak in NSA's Detention Center[]
When Erica Gonzalez was sent to an NSA detention center, she unwittingly infected the whole place with Green Poison due to being an unsymptomatic carrier. In the process, McManus and his staff evacuated Site B13 and used the underground facility as temporary quarantine.
Extremis Malis[]
At Fort Meade. the NSA's technicians and deputy director, Miranda Pirandello, helped Division agents Caleb Dunne/Heather Ward/Brian Johnson in cracking the transciever's signal during their hunt against Black Tusk Operative, Mantis.
Site B13[]
Black Tusk infiltrated Site B13 to extract data from the NSA Servers. However, they caused an alarm, prompting for the Division to investigate. Not only the agents stopped Black Tusk from stealing the data, they became aware that the NSA were surveying Gordon Amherst, even when they did nothing against him.
Detention Center[]
During the outbreak, a True Sons unit led by Major Anders took over the NSA Detention Center and used the place to imprison and torture civilians. The Division became aware of this and sent agents to rescue the civilians. While the rescue was successful, Erica Gonzalez was killed by a True Sons sniper.
Combat Simulation Program[]
During the events of Broken Wings, Division agents became aware of two entrances to the facility that houses the combat simulation program while they were rescuing civilians who were kidnapped by Black Tusk. They use the simulation to face off simulated hostiles room after room, in addition to extracting intel from the NSA servers that uncovered the secret history between Ortiz Robotics, the Division, and Black Tusk.
Additionally, they uncovered intel related to Aaron Keener, Calvin McManus, and other people of interest.
