The New York City Fire Department (FDNY, Now known as FNYC in The Division due to copyright issues.) Is a first response department that assisted the Joint Task Force during the outbreak. The FNYC has multiple trucks and stations located throughout Manhattan, along with the scene of a fire located in the Dark Zone.
The FNYC contains 3 vehicles.
- Fire & Rescue Engine/Ladder truck
- Fire & Rescue Ambulance
- Fire & Rescue SUV.
The FNYC contains the only ambulance that you will see throughout the map. This can be found outside the Base Of Operations, hospitals, and a few other places. A fire department SUV can be found somewhere near Camp Hudson, fire engines can be found in many places throughout the map.
Originally responsible for medical treatment throughout N.Y.C., the FNYC also had to deal with fires from riots and looting. Along with just fires in general. Firefighters from the FNYC were scattered as looters and civilians after the outbreak, leaving their stations abandoned. Some firefighters can be found in the Base Of Operations. Firefighters responded to multiple emergencies during the outbreak. After the collapse, they merged with the Joint Task Force, along with the NYCPD (NYPD). TheCleaners ended up using a dismantled FNYC truck for their own personal use, attempting to transform it into a literal fire truck, only for the SHD and JTF to stop them before the project was completed.
