Polycarbonate is an Crafting Material from Tom Clancy's The Division 2. It is used at the Workbench in association with other materials, to craft Weapons and Gear.
Polycarbonate Description[]
Crafting material that can be used for various item components. The Hyenas seem to be hoarding this material.
The classification of polymers is strong, tough, and versatile. And are often used in construction, protective packaging, and manufacturing of vehicles and electronics.
Some polycarbonates are transparent and can be used to create lenses or bullet-proof windows.
Polycarbonate is fully recyclable with an excellent yield, but if disposed of incorrectly, the material can leach environmentally hazardous chemicals as it decomposes.
Polycarbonates Locations[]
As with all other Crafting Materials, there are several methods to get Polycarbonates:
- Hyenas Gang Members
Just like Electronics, the Polycarbonates are dropped by enemies from the Hyena Faction. Even though these gang members appear on most streets in Washington D.C., a large concentration can be observed in Downtown East.
They are led by the Hyena Council and you can identify them by the gas masks and riot helmets.
- Looting Containers
Looting as many containers (boxes, crates, etc..) while exploring Washington D.C is another way to get Polycarbonate.
Strategically explore the environment while playing missions, or in free-roam, and always check the Supply Rooms you unlock when you liberate Control Points.
- Deconstructing Gear and Weapons
Another method to get Polycarbonate is by dismantling Gear or Weapons.
To increase the amount you receive for each dismantled Weapon or Gear, you should consider unlocking and leveling up the Deconstruction Perk.
