Any active usage of SHD Tech in the field generally always means a Division agent is in the area, unless the tech was otherwise abandoned. SHD Tech has a unique signature identifiable by other instances of SHD Tech, meaning agents can always tell when SHD Tech is being used in some capacity by another agent or is otherwise present on the scene.

This page refers to the technology of SHD Agents. For the currency in Last Stand and Resistance, see Currency.

Tom Clancy's The Division Smart Watch Art

SHD Tech (pronounced “Shade Tech”) is a shorthand for "Strategic Homeland Division Technology". It is a catch-all term for any proprietary assets and technology employed exclusively by the Division and its agents. Common examples include the pod launchers, turrets, seeker mines and portable stations employed in skills, the Contact Lense that lets agents view their augmented reality heads-up display (AR HUD), which is synced to ISAC, and - most iconically - the agent's Smart Watch, which is connected to ISAC, allowing the agent to communicate with fellow agents, hack communication systems and computers , scan objects, etc. It also makes reference to more large-scale assets, like the SHD terminals employed in Last Stand. The term "Division Tech" is typically used interchangeably with SHD Tech.

It is also seen being operated by the Last Man Battalion since their leader struck a mutual deal with the Rogue Agent Aaron Keener and his fellow Rogue Division Agents. The LMB had access to the the rogue agents' SHD Tech and have learnt to replicate SHD Technology, such as medkits and Support Stations.
