Specializations are part of the skill system in Tom Clancy's The Division 2. After the player finally reaches level 30, the player may choose a specialization. There are 3 different kinds of specializations, and each specialization unlocks a new unique signature weapon, additional skills and an exotic grenade exclusive to their class. Each specialization can be upgraded through activities, and another specialization can be selected once a player's current specialization is maxed out. The specializations skills introduced into The Division 2 are Survivalist, Demolitionist and Sharpshooter.
- Survivalist/Survivor - Desperate times ask for desperate measures. Survivalists can control their surroundings using traps and status effects. They are equipped with a precision crossbow as their signature weapon to take their targets down, even in the harshest of environments.
- Demolitionist - Sometimes stealth is just not an option. Demolitionists are agents of chaos, focusing on disrupting enemy plans and entrenched positions using a grenade launcher as their signature weapon.
- Sharpshooter - A Specialization for agents looking at taking their targets out, without them ever realizing what hit them. Sharpshooters can change the tide of a battle from afar using a .50 cal sniper rifle as their signature weapon.
