Scoring in Survival is separated into 5 categories: Mission, Combat, Survival, Looting, and Performance. Each category is counted separately, and totaled up to give an agent's final score in a game of Survival.
Ranks[]
There are 6 ranks in Survival, depending on what score threshold one passes.
- Rank 0: No Rank (0-599)
- Rank 1: Novice (600-1749)
- Rank 2: Trained (1750-3999)
- Rank 3: Skilled (4000-7499)
- Rank 4: Expert (7500-9999)
- Rank 5: Master (10000+)
Scoring Master Rank for the first time awards the player with the Survival Instincts Trophy/Achievement, as well as completing said Commendation and adding the Killer Instinct patch to the player's collection.
In addition, PvP Survival mode grants a x1.2 multiplier to the final score.
Mission[]
These points are earned for completing objectives in Survival.
- Virus Filter Crafted: 300 (Craft the Basic Virus Filter)
- Dark Zone Entered: 800 (Enter the Dark Zone)
- Flare Gun Crafted: 500 (Craft the Flare Gun in a DZ Hideout)
- This score is actually each Flare Gun you pick up, including the one you may craft.
- Antivirals Retrieved: 600 (Find the Antivirals in the Dark Zone)
- Time Sensitive Materials: 600 (Complete a Survival run within 20 minutes of the start of the game.)
- Extraction Completed: 1400
Combat[]
These points are earned by killing NPCs, and, for one of them, other Agents.

- 10 Points per Level 28 NPC
- 20 Points per Level 29 NPC
- 30 Points per Level 30 NPC
- Veteran NPC Kills
- 20 Points per Level 28 NPC
- 40 Points per Level 29 NPC
- 60 Points per Level 30 NPC
- Elite NPC Kills
- 30 Points per Level 28 NPC
- 60 Points per Level 29 NPC
- 90 Points per Level 30 NPC
- Named NPC Kills: 150 per kill
- Punisher: 1600 (Help Kill 4 Hunters; can be earned more than once)
- Turncloak: 1600 (Kill 4 other Agents in one game)
Survival[]
These points are earned based on various features in Survival that aren't included in the normal game.
- Survival Time: 5 Points per minute
- Players Revived: 200 Points per Revive
- Thirst Score: 5 Points per 1%
- Hunger Score: 5 Points per 1%
- Disease Score: 10 Points per 1%
- Cold: 20 Points per -1° C
- Lone Wolf: 700 (All the following must be met)
- Start a game of Survival without a group.
- Do not share items with other players, nor pick up another player's shared items.
- Do not revive other players.
- Successfully Extract from the game.
Looting[]
These points are related to loot an agent picks up throughout the game.
- Gearscore: 5 Points per GS (Up to 163 GS/815 Points)
- Medkits: 50 Points per Medkit
- Medicine and Painkillers: 20 Points per Medicine/Painkiller
- Food: 20 Points per Energy Bar/Canned Food
- Drinks: 20 Points per Water/Soda
Performance[]
These points are earned for fulfilling different tasks, mostly unrelated to the above categories.
- Extracted with Chopper
- 500 Points for 1st, 400 for 2nd, 300 for 3rd, 200 for 4th, 100 for 5th
- No Man Left Behind: 400 Points per Player
- These players must be in your group at the start of the session.
- Allied Victory: 400 Points per Player
- These players must not be in your group at the start of the session.
- Never Downed: 750
- Never Unconscious: 500
- Hunter Defeated: 400 Points per Hunter
Rewards[]
EXP gains and bonus Caches rewarded vary depending on which rank one receives.
- No Rank: 0 Caches
- Novice: 1 Cache (1 Survival)
- Trained: 2 Caches (1 Survival, 1 Gear)
- Skilled: 3 Caches (1 Survival, 1 Weapon, 1 Gear)
- Expert: 4 Caches (1 Survival, 1 Weapon, 2 Gear)
- Master: 4 Caches (2 Survival, 1 Weapon, 1 Gear)
Tips to Score Higher[]
- Remember that all enemies in the Dark Zone are Level 30, allowing you to gain more points for killing fewer enemies.
- Take a Food and Drink before boarding the Helicopter; the score potential for Hunger and Thirst are much higher than that of simply holding on to the Food and Drink.
- Counting only the core objectives (Mission without Time Sensitive Materials and 1 Hunter), you score 4000 and 100% for Thirst and Hunger grants another 1000, totaling 5000, not counting other categories. You always start out at GS 38 (190 Points) which is definitely going to rise as you find better gear, so plan out how to get the other 5000 Points necessary.
- Killing 4 Hunters equates to 3200 Points, 1600 for the Hunters Defeated, and another 1600 for the Punisher bonus.
- This applies for every 4 Hunters killed, meaning 8 Hunters equates to 6400 Points, assuming the group can take on that many enemies.
- Don't be afraid to use a Medkit if low on health; they can also be crafted, and the points possible for Never Downed can be pivotal in gaining Master rank.
- It is actually possible to extract without grabbing the Antivirals. Don't forget them if you need the points!
