The T821 is a Submachine Gun in Tom Clancy's The Division 2.

All variants of this weapon can be obtained from enemies, vendors, weapon chests, Sealed Caches, and any area/mission with Submachine Guns as targeted loot.

Replicas of the Black Market T821 can be crafted using its Blueprint, which is available by default.

History

The T821, or SOCIMI Type 821, is a 9mm submachine gun developed by Luigi Franchi S.p.A. in 1983. Its design mimicked the ubiquitous Uzi, including a telescoping bolt, magazine housed in the pistol grip, and charging handle above the receiver. It fires slightly slower than the Uzi (550 RPM vs. 600 RPM), and is overall shorter and lighter to carry.

The Type 821 saw limited use in Italian law enforcement, but was never officially adopted by any military entity and discontinued after 1992 when Franchi's parent company, SOCIMI, declared bankruptcy.

Usage

The T821 is relatively ammo-efficient thanks to its impressive damage-per-bullet, but is hampered by a sluggish rate of fire that limits its utility as a hit-and-run weapon. At 550 RPM, its firing speed is the slowest of any Submachine Gun (excluding outliers like The Sleigher) and is more comparable to those of Light Machine Guns like the M60 or M249 B.

This trait does make it more controllable during sustained fire. It therefore benefits greatly from attachments boosting its accuracy and effective range, allowing it to reliably suppress foes, land headshots, or target weak points from further distances than other, faster-firing Submachine Guns.

Variants

Police T821

This T821 features a side-folding skeleton stock. It is used by various Civilian Militia, as well as generic Rogue Agents and Hunters.

Black Market T821

A T821 variant with no stock, resulting in lower Stability. It is used by Normal Outcast Supports, Normal Riker Rushers, Veteran/Elite Hyena Medics, and Rogue Agents Molly "Jupiter" Henderson and Skyler "Belfry" Williams.
