History[]
The Vector is based on a series of next-generation submachine guns produced by KRISS USA since 2006. Its chief innovation, the 'Super V' system, employs a unique V-shaped bolt that diverts downwards rather than straight back, theoretically reducing muzzle rise after every shot and allowing for faster firing without sacrificing control.
All variants in Tom Clancy's The Division 2 are based on first-generation Vector platforms. In reality, the 'short-barrel rifle' (or 'SBR') label refers to civilian models limited to semi-automatic fire, unlike the Vector SBR 9mm and Tactical Vector SBR 9mm variants in-game.
Usage[]
The Vector offers similar performance to the MP7, with both a faster fire rate and even smaller magazine size. Despite its extreme RPM, it maintains surprising accuracy at range and mild vertical recoil. Since the Vector's low damage virtually ensures a reload between each and every kill, it may be wiser to shorten it with the Reload Speed Attribute or Short Spring .45 ACP Mag, instead of trying to squeeze in a few more rounds per magazine.
Uniquely, its Tactical Vector SBR 9mm and Vector SBR 9mm variants offer an inverse scale of capacity and damage, plus a complete suite of attachment slots - ensuring any agent can find one suited for their close-range playstyle.
